About Amanda Doherty

Amanda has a Higher Diploma in Drama & Arts Education and has also trained with GSA.

She owns and runs “Act Out”, a successful drama school in Meath for children aged 5-12 years old, she is also the drama facilitator for “IMPACT”, a youth theatre group set up in conjunction with a local Community Centre.

Amanda works with secondary schools throughout Meath, hosting drama workshops and consulting with groups on yearly performances.

She likes to think that her classes give every child a safe platform to express themselves with confidence.

 
Amanda is passionate about theatre and has been an ever present member of The Venue Players, as actor, stage manager and director. She believes that drama has positive benefits to offer in the developmental, social and personal skills of children and young adults.
